Maleficent-inspired shoes arrive: who made them? Find out here!

The perverse and disturbing charm of Maleficent, the witch of Sleeping Beauty, now comes in the form of women's shoes. Maleficent, the film starring Angelina Jolie in the role of the famous witch, was so successful that the designer Christian Louboutin decided to pay homage to him with brand new, and very, very special shoes.

To make the new shoes, Louboutin collaborated with Angelina Jolie, and together they gave birth to Malangeli, named after the merger of Maleficent And Angelina. And as always for Louboutin, the shoes are surprising, and very extravagant: a shoe with a wedge that ends in a trickle of smoke that rises to the top. Available in black or red leather, the shoe will be on sale exclusively from from next October in the brand's flagship stores, and the proceeds will be donated to SOS Children "s Villages, an association that Angelina Jolie has supported since 2003.

"It was exciting to work with someone with such a strong aesthetic and character," said Christian Louboutin. It remains to be seen where and when Jolie will choose to wear "her" shoes.
