Sabrina Ferilli unleashes: "I would have liked to go to the Oscars!"

One day after the victory of La Grande Bellezza at the 86th edition of the Oscars, Sabrina Ferilli, one of the main interpreters of Sorrentino's film, vents her regret, not without a touch of controversy, for not being able to take part in the ceremony. In fact, the Roman actress was not invited to the evening because the seats assigned to the Italian film were only six and they were occupied as well as, obviously, by Paolo Sorrentino and the main interpreter Toni Servillo, also by the director's wife, by the producer Nicola Giuliano, by the president of Medusa Carlo Rossella and by the managing director Giampaolo Letta.

And Sabrina, does not seem to have taken the exclusion very well, as she stated in a recent interview with a veiled polemical tone: "The dress was extraordinary, the jewels as well. Let's say, however, that at the Oscar Night I wasn't there with all that stuff. on ", said the actress ironically, who then added:" This is a country of talents and not of teams. On an individual level we mix and match, but it is in the organizational discourse that we are missing. We do not know how to optimize anything, to develop the value of things. If you look at it from the perspective of events, "Great Beauty" did not amplify it, they detonated it. And it was a unique event: we hadn't won an Oscar for 15 years, this is demoralizing. I'm sorry not to have been there, not to have done the red carpet, and very much. I say this not only for myself but also because the image that is remembered in the time of the "Night of the Oscars" is that of the photos of the actresses who walk the red carpet in fabulous dresses. As they say: “It's the stuff dreams are made of”. Without it it is as if something is missing. ”And then, however optimistic I may be, I doubt that it will happen again for me and, above all, in the short term. I was never able to get a coronation: I was able to work a lot, to do a lot, but in the end, the ceremony always escaped me. If I found myself "queen" it is because someone told me about it while I was at home, in the dressing room, at the bar or even in the toilet. But never anyone officially ”.

These are the words with which the actress vented her regret for the exclusion from the team that left for the States to collect the much sought-after golden statuette, but Sabrina, as usual, concludes with an ironic joke, thus extinguishing the controversy: "Do you know what I tell you? My ascent is one step at a time and I still have quite a few years to go. In Hollywood I'll go there sooner or later. It should also be for the remake of" A walk with Daisy " ... ".
