Lou Reed rushed to hospital
Lou Reed was rushed to a medical center in New York New York Post, the interpreter of Walk on the wild side, known for his life of excess, was reportedly taken to Southampton hospital in a state of dehydration shortly before seven on Sunday morning, 30 June.
The founder of the Velvet Underground, who turned 71 last March, underwent a liver transplant just a few months ago. This is what his wife, the 65-year-old musician Laurie Anderson had declared after the surgery: "Now she is better but I don't think she will recover completely, however she will resume her activities in a few months".
Yesterday, however, the singer had a crisis that forced him to a new urgent hospitalization. The last public appearance of Lou Reed, at the registry office of Lewis Allan Reed, was last June 20 at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
