MIA - Mothers in Cars: all about Covid decrees related to driving

Most of us have been stuck at home for more than a month, and we could be worried if we have an ongoing deadline for a fine, car overhaul or license renewal.

Fortunately, the Conte government in the decrees governing the lockdown also intervened on these issues, allowing time for Italy traveling by car.

Let's see what changes!

PAYMENT OF CONTRIBUTIONS (even those high for the violation of the lockdown): the terms remain frozen until May 15th

PRESENTATION OF APPEALS: you can appeal against a fine and there are 30 days in case you want to contact the Justice of the Peace, and 60 if you choose the Prefect. Both terms are frozen until May 15th.

PAYMENT OF REDUCED SANCTIONS: up to May 31, it must be made within 30 days after the fine is raised and no longer within 5

STAMP PAYMENT: do not rush if you are resident in one of the Regions that have already decided to extend the deadline for payment to 30 June. Check the ACI website www.aci.it, or contact the toll-free number 800.18.34.34 or the e-mail [email protected].

LICENSE: the theoretical exams set by 30 June 2020 can take place within 6 months from the submission of the application without submitting a further request. As regards the expired document, the renewal must be made by 31 August. And also the validity of the pink sheet is extended to 30 June

GAS CARS: in the case of a methane car until 15 June it will be possible to circulate in derogation of the deadlines relating to cylinders, while for LPG the concession arrives on 31 October

OVERHAUL AND TESTING: the circulation of vehicles is authorized until 31st October which must undergo overhaul or testing by 31st July

CAR TPL POLICIES: the grace period is extended from 15 to 30 days after the expiry of the civil liability policy
