FAREWELL, JOAN RIVERS

Although in Italy she was not so famous or known (except in recent years, perhaps also thanks to the numerous videos shared on YouTube), in the USA Joan Rivers was a real legend, who for over 50 years brought laughter into the homes of Americans, thanks to his biting and provocative jokes. River debuted thanks to the show "Fashion Police" broadcast on channel E! and achieved success earlier thanks to The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and, only later, with his program: The Joan Rivers Show, (1989 - 1993) for which he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Best Television Host in 1990.

There are also many film roles - although increasingly minor - including Look Who's Talking 2, Nip & Tuck and, last year, a cameo in the latest film of Iron Man.

Joan was in a medically induced coma following complications from vocal cord surgery, which had caused her to have unexpected cardiac arrest. Her daughter, Melissa, following her death, said: "My mother's greatest joy was to make people laugh. Even though it's hard to laugh now, I know her last wish would be for us to laugh again as soon as possible'.
