Goods of (f) luxury: this is why we are unhappy with the result

While in Finland they elect the youngest premier in history, in Italy we still have to talk about pink quotas and pink taxes.
The Pink Tax, better known as the Tampon Tax, is the tax on feminine health products, therefore tampons, sanitary pads and everything related to the world of menstruation.
The VAT on these products in Italy is 22%, the same as for luxury goods such as expensive cars or jewelery.

After several battles there was the umpteenth request, led by Laura Boldrini and other 32 deputies of each flag. Furthermore, for months, the Onde Rosa association had been collecting signatures (reaching more than 250,000) for a petition, in order to bring the problem to light.
The proposal was to bring the VAT on sanitary towels from 22% to 4% as in most countries in Europe and in the world.
