Milan: shooting at the Court. A 57-year-old on trial for bankruptcy opened fire. Here's what happened

The man holding the gun is called Claudio Giardiello, he is 57 years old and is in court because he is accused of fraudulent bankruptcy for the company he owned: the real estate company Magenta. The victims, until the last update [15:30], are three: the judge, Fernando Ciampi and two other men, the lawyer Lorenzo Alberto Claris Appiani (former lawyer of the killer) and Giorgio Erba, co-defendant in the trial. Davide Limongelli, Giardello's partner and nephew, is also currently hospitalized. According to some rumors, he arrived at the former Santa Rita clinic with a yellow code. Numerous are also injured, many suffering from panic attacks.

Giardiello, who after being locked inside the building for a long time managed to escape on his motorbike, was stopped and arrested by the carabinieri in Vimercate, about 27 kilometers from the Palace of Justice.

According to some reconstructions, the man, who was sitting in the audience benches, would have pulled out a pistol pointing it at two witnesses and would then have gone downstairs to enter Judge Ciampi's room, freezing him instantly.
