Blackheads: what they are, how to fight them naturally and how not to make them come back!

Blackheads (comedones) are yellowish or blackish formations that develop on the surface of the skin.
They are formed when dead cells and sebum accumulated in the pores of the epidermis react with the oxygen present in the air and form the characteristic dark-colored imperfections.

Always a big problem for many of us, blackheads can be eliminated with daily attention and care, to keep our epidermis healthy.

The first piece of advice we give you is to not crush them! Even if the temptation is strong, you could do even more damage by triggering an annoying process of skin irritation and inflammation.

Instead, try one of these methods, which are all natural and quick to implement.

1 - Strawberry Mask

The strawberry mask is astringent and purifying. To prepare it, crush a few strawberries and mix with one or two tablespoons of honey and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Spread the mask on your face in a thin layer and let it act for a few minutes before rinsing.

2 - Bicarbonate and lemon

One of the most common methods for cleansing the skin and for purifying pores blocked by blackheads is to mix a teaspoon of baking soda and a teaspoon of lemon juice in half a glass of warm water. Then dab the face with the solution. obtained, leave it to act for a few minutes and then rinse.

3 - Lemon juice

If you notice large pores in addition to blackheads on your face, try using a natural toner, such as lemon juice. A few drops are enough to apply with a cotton swab on the affected areas before going to sleep.

4 - Egg white mask

Egg whites can help close pores and remove blackheads. After dabbing your face to dry, simply separate an egg white from the yolk and apply it to your skin. You can do this using a washcloth or your hands, in this case making sure that are clean and dry. When the first layer of egg white has dried, add a second layer. Repeat 3-5 times, always letting the previous layer dry. Then rinse and pat.

5 - Hot honey

Honey has both antiseptic and antibacterial properties and is therefore ideal for treating acne-related blackheads. Simply heat it in a saucepan, or dip a jar of honey in hot water. When the honey is hot - but not hot - you can apply it. on blackheads and let it dry for about ten minutes. Then rinse your face with the help of a wet cloth.

6 - Mint and apple cider vinegar

With mint and apple cider vinegar you can prepare a facial tonic suitable for blackheads and large pores. In a glass jar combine 3 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 3 tablespoons of fresh chopped mint. Leave to rest for a week. , filter, add 250 ml of water and refrigerate for up to 6 days. Every night, before going to sleep, apply it with a cotton ball.

7 - Sodium bicarbonate

Sodium bicarbonate manages to rebalance the pH of the skin and is a good anti-inflammatory and antiseptic. To obtain a preparation to be applied directly on the balls, put 2 tablespoons of this substance in a bowl and add a tablespoon of water. Mix well and then distribute it on clean, dry skin, avoiding delicate areas such as the eye contour and those where the skin is red, chapped or too dry. Let it dry and when the cream starts to come off the face, rinse with plenty of hot water first and then cold water; the sudden change in temperature will close the pores and activate the microcirculation of the face.

Once the blackheads have been eliminated and the pores closed, it is important to maintain a regular and timely skin cleansing, avoid smoking and alcohol, carry out a scrub at least once a week and do not overdo it with make up. You will see that within a few weeks the situation will improve, the formation of blackheads will be slowed down and your skin will be like porcelain!
