Is it true that sugar is bad and shouldn't be given to children? Find out with us!

Sugar would be bad for your health and should not be given especially to children. More and more often the web becomes the source of false myths about the sweet ingredient par excellence. Faced with the multiplication of these news, unmotivated alarmism spreads among consumers; thus, the first to feel called into question are often the mothers, who are very careful about the nutrition of their children.

To understand more on the subject and find out the truth, our ambassador Silvio Petta of Superpapa decided to probe the web in search of the origin of the false myth about sugar. From his adventurous investigation, it emerged that there are numerous sources in the network focused on this ingredient. The most extreme thesis on the subject is that provided by R. Lustig, professor of pediatric clinic at the University of California. The doctor, known to most as the author of the controversial article "The toxic truth about sugar", published in the journal Nature, would have included data regarding the addiction that sugar would be able to create in those who consume it. But "The article reflects the personal opinion of the author and does not constitute a scientific study of the evidence currently existing", as Elisabeth Weichselbaum, nutrition scientist at the British Nutrition Foundation. Still, some alarmist titles appearing on the net are striking: this is the case of the disturbing opening words "white sugar: a poison of everyday use!", Which joins others aimed at attracting the attention of users at the expense the quality of the information offered.
