Fear increases the pain

When they tell you that everything (or almost everything) depends on the psyche, do not be skeptical. To tell us this is the study by a group of researchers from the Purdue University of Indiana, carried out with the collaboration of the University of Milan-Bicocca. A sample of 842 people (mainly university students) were examined and were asked to share their idea and perception of pain, both of a physical and social nature. What emerged? That it is directly proportional to the fear one has of it.
An example: are you afraid to undergo blood tests? Your pain at the time of analysis will be greater than that of those who have none.
According to scholars this is due to the fact that fear is an adaptive response, automatically activated by the nervous system as soon as a threat arises.
