Interview with Fedez / "Disappointed by love, but I would immediately marry Emma Marrone"

It is the phenomenon of the moment. He doesn't miss a catchphrase, his concerts are sold out, the prizes for record sales are multiplying as well as appearances on TV - ad Friends by Maria de Filippi, to X Factor etc. - and now he is also the protagonist of a video game: Just Dance 2014 by Ubisoft, within which his hit has been inserted Alfonso Signorini (National Hero). We are talking about Fedez, born in 1989, rapper and singer-songwriter born from the web - at first he became an idol on Youtube (but “without buying pageviews”, he is keen to clarify ed) -, to then break through even outside the virtual world.
But if we go even further back we find Fedez in Corso Vittorio Emanuele, in Milan, as he takes his first steps in freestyle and begins to understand that rhymes and rap music are destined to become not only his passion, but also his future. Currently Fedez is working on the new album which, of course, he hopes will have the same success as the previous one. And if the conditions are all there, he still maintains reasonable expectations: “I remain with my feet on the ground, not out of modesty but out of necessity. I respect myself no less than I am, but the discography is a world in which today you are first and tomorrow you are nobody ".

Fedez, how has your life changed with all this success in such a short time and at just 24 years old?
I did not expect such a change, so rapid and overwhelming, even if, I must be honest, there were signs and hints that something big was taking place. This event (the presentation of the video game Just Dance 2014 ed) was then the classic icing on the cake, I'm really happy that one of my pieces has been included in the game alongside the likes of Lady Gaga, Daft Punk and One Direction.

So are you a video game enthusiast too?
Actually, no. Or rather, I'm not a regular gamer and I don't like role-playing games, but I like doing it in company and I think Just Dance 2014 is very suitable for those evenings where, for example, you are among friends, at home and you don't know. what to do. It's a great way to get together, dance, have fun, and listen to music.

Speaking of current music and trends, in your opinion why is rap in Italy so successful right now? Why does everyone want to be a rapper? And, above all, why are there no female rappers who are successful in Italy?
In reality there is a very good girl in Italy, her name is Baby K. Maybe in terms of sales, recognition or popularity she has not yet broken through and has yet to arrive, but she certainly has talent to sell! It is true that rap in Italy is now experiencing a golden moment, but I would say that the genre has already been "pulling" in us for several years.

Obviously when people then realize that you are spinning money, you start to have everyone on ... I guess the girls too! In this regard, how has your way of relating to the female gender changed?
Notoriety, you know, exponentially increases the charm of anyone ... Not that you, without fame, would not have had success with women, but let's say that it certainly helps, right?
Well, definitely! And I would say that I live very well ... Better this way than nothing, don't you think?

But were there any fans who were a little too impetuous on the verge of stalking?
Well, I don't know… I don't remember. There was certainly some "excess of attention", but nothing that comes close to the dramatic phenomenon of stalking.

One of your most successful singles is “Cigno Nero” paired with Francesca Michielin, where you talk about love, a love that hasn't ended well: at the age of 24 are you already so disillusioned with feelings?
Let's say that even though I'm young, I've already had some pretty hard and tormented experiences in the sentimental field, it's part of the course of life, I think. What if I already define myself disillusioned? I would say "sni". But Emma Marrone would also marry her immediately!
