The second half saw a couple of good missed opportunities, both for Argentina and Germany. Both teams, however, shared excellent possession of the ball, quality phrasing and a very interesting game, which made this final match a game that left the spectators with bated breath and went straight to extra time, which saw two tired teams that even at the end of the first of the two halves ends with nothing.
