How to reuse common items to keep the house clean

At home we are surrounded by objects that are apparently only useful for the purpose for which they were produced and designed. However, there is a world that is hidden behind these common objects and it is the alternative use that we can make of them. Not only will we discover how useful an empty bottle of bleach or a tennis ball cut in half is, but we will also appreciate its practicality and convenience, as well as the savings in time and money.

So here are tips and tricks on how to reuse simple everyday objects to have a cleaner house.

With a bottle of bleach cut in half we can create, for example, a scoop to collect the soil from terraces and repottings or to clean the cat's litter box. With baby oil, on the other hand, we can quickly clean the wax that drips from the candles we have in the living room. Hairspray is a very useful stain remover: for example, after investigating the deep mystery, if you find a lipstick stain on your husband's shirt, dry it by sprinkling some hairspray before doing the laundry in the washing machine.

To keep lampshades clean and prevent them from getting stained and covered with dust, try using the lint-removing adhesive wheel that you normally use for your clothes.

Are old or unused tennis balls lying in your home for no reason? Keep one, cut in half, in the toolbox: for example, you can unscrew the bulbs without getting burned or at risk of cutting yourself. And you can also use them as a nail holder.

Then, with a sheet of paper and kitchen salt, you can clean the iron from gummy residues stuck to the plate: simply pass the iron over the paper sprinkled with a little salt.
