The rum, presented in a 500ml hand-blown crystal decanter, is priced at a staggering $ 2,000. The result of the collaboration of the latest Master Blenders of the Bacardi family, it is a blend of the finest rums, aged 20 years in oak barrels and then left to decant in 60-year-old Cognac barrels.
A rum with an alcohol content of 43%, full-bodied and aromatic, with a hint of tropical fruit, a sweet and floral aroma that is balanced by the scent of wood and vanilla with a touch of Caribbean honey.
Only 1,000 bottles, all numbered, only for a small audience of connoisseurs: in fact there are only 200 decanters destined for sale, wrapped in a precious leather packaging, enriched by the geographical coordinates of the birthplace of rum in Santiago de Cuba, from "unmistakable red bat symbol of Bacardi and a map of the Caribbean that highlights the house of" El Coco ", the palm tree planted 150 years ago in front of the entrance to the first distillery by Don Facundo, founder of the company, who is also depicted in the outer packaging.
