Skip Bart! Susanna Tamaro's new novel for young readers

A special breakfast awaits blogger mothers (and not only) at the opening of the second edition of the MammacheBlog Creativo, which will open its doors on Saturday 29 November at 9.30 am, at the Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia in Milan.

Who will wait for them? The renowned writer Susanna Tamaro, which, before the official opening of the various workshops and events that will animate the day, will present Skip Bart! (Giunti Editore), his latest children's novel. The bloggers will thus have the opportunity to meet the author made famous by the novel Go where your heart takes you.

Skip Bart! speaks of the complex relationship that today's world has with technology. The protagonist is Bart, a 10-year-old boy who lives in the not too distant future, where electronic devices mark the life of adults and children. The parents, away for work, talk to Bart through a monitor, while he is busy with many fixed commitments in his daily life. The wise Master Lu and the chick Zoe, who escaped the tragic fate of battery chickens, arrive to save him. Thus began a training journey for Bart and for readers a reflection on the possible drifts that technology and consumerism could imprint on our society.

'Jump, Bart! arises from the observation of what the breakthrough of technology, in the last twenty years, has produced in the world of human relations. In an imperceptible way, and with a good-natured smile on his lips, he has conquered every space of our existence… All personal relationships are now undermined by this third wheel ", says the author. The book, illustrated by Adriano Gon, has a important message for parents, "so that they acquire greater awareness, protecting their children as much as possible from the eternal media connection. Technology is a wonderful servant to us, we don't have to be servants to it. "
