Good Design Award to an Italian
The prestigious design award, promoted by the "European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, was awarded to the ARCO line, signed by Giugiaro Design, by TVS, one of the leading international players in the production of aluminum cooking items coated with non-stick material.
The award is given to the most innovative products of the year, and the award-winning products are permanently displayed in the Chicago Athenaeum.
The jury, made up of professionals and experts in the sector, industrial specialists and specialized press, bases its decisions on the same original criteria of 1950 - the year the award was conceived - regarding innovation, shape, materials, construction, concept, function, utility and sustainability. , as well as aesthetics.
The award-winning line is the result of TVS 'continuous research of innovative and valuable materials, combined with technological and stylistic excellence. Arco is made up of pans, saucepans and pans of different sizes, and is made of aluminum coated on the outside in gray-green textured lacquer in contrast with the white ceramic internal coating.
