Car for novice drivers: which one to choose

What do cars for new drivers have to do with the Mothers in Car section? Has anyone said that we stop being mothers, and worry about the safety of our "children" in the car when they reach the age of majority? Of course not. And therefore, since it is we mothers in the family who almost always make the final decision, we thought we'd investigate the topic: car for new drivers, which one to choose?

First of all, let's say right away that novice drivers cannot drive cars whose power / weight ratio exceeds 75 hp per ton. And more generally, the maximum power must not go beyond 95 hp. We will therefore have to confine our research to city cars and compact cars, as we shall see. These limitations last one year, at the end of which new drivers can then use any car and legitimately start borrowing that of their mum and dad.
By now in the ranges of many manufacturers there are cars for novice drivers, but we have decided to suggest the most interesting also from an economic point of view, keeping in mind the reference target generally sensitive to this discourse.

Two other very valid proposals come from PSA. The first is represented by the 83 hp Citroen C3 1.2 Puretech. The second from the 75 hp Peugeot 208 1.2 PureTech. Both consume little, 4.2 l / 100 km the first, 5.4 l / 100 km the second. The Citroën is offered at € 14,100, the Peugeot at € 15,150. The latter in particular will be appreciated by young novice drivers for the particular driving style, which only have the cars of the brand with the Lion. Small steering wheel and raised instrumentation give a feeling of absolute control of the road. In addition, the Peugeot 208 - elected Car of the year 2020 among other things - has a sporty look that does not go unnoticed.
Rounding out our list of novice drivers is the Ford Fiesta, equipped with a small but lively three-cylinder, 1.1-liter, 75hp. The 17,000 euro version has a little bit of standard equipment, you have to choose the 18,650 euro version.
