After the cow women, the umbrella women arrive. A new controversy has erupted, and we rightly add, which saw as the protagonist the event organized on the "Foundry Abruzzo". A two-day event at the Abbey of Sulmona organized by the President of the Region. The controversy was sparked by the photo seen on social media, of some women holding umbrellas to shelter the speakers from the sun and rain. An "image that makes us go back a few centuries, from our point of view. Let's not forget that violence against women is not only physical, but also psychological and moral and, frankly, this episode does not seem so far from those told in this video.
Only men on the front line, "side" women
And this is precisely the feeling you get from looking at this chilling photo: that men are the ones speaking in public, making the important decisions and that women are just a background, a side dish to these important activities. But we're not a side dish, are we? The president of the Region says he is sorry that the attention has shifted from the important topics of discussion during the conference to umbrellas. But what we ask ourselves is ... according to what is normal thought to have girls around who shelter us from the alone during a meeting? We never had one, did you?
