Discover Orange Fiber: the dress made with orange waste

Making garments with orange scraps? Now it is possible. To have this brilliant idea were Adriana Santanocito and Enrica Arena, two young Sicilian women, who participated in the "Seed Money" call and received funding (from the Autonomous Province of Trento and the European Regional Development Fund) to kick off to production.

How will it happen? Through the use of nanotechnologies that makes it possible to extract cellulose from citrus waste. The result is fabrics impregnated with essential citrus oils, capable of transmitting vitamins to the wearer. What can I say: we can't wait for them to arrive. on the market!

Orange Fiber was awarded the special award as Best Startup at MIA14, which took place during the Festa della Rete in September.
