10 places in Italy to visit first right away

Ah, how much I like to talk about our beautiful Italy! Today I want to talk to you about known and unknown destinations. Do not expect the classic article in which space will be given only and exclusively to big cities because I will tell you about little-known places that deserve all your attention! Let's go baby ...

1.Bologna

We often talk about Milan, Rome, Naples, Florence, Pisa but very little importance is given to the beautiful Bologna. Did you know that it has a lot of firsts? For example, it is here that the first university was born, also the church of San Petronio, has the largest sundial on the face of the earth.

With its splendid arcades it is able to enchant anyone and is also the home of the legendary Bolognese sauce as well as many other delicacies to take your breath away (sorry but if I don't talk about food I don't sleep peacefully

)
The last primacy must be given to the very long portico that reaches the church of San Luca, the symbol par excellence of the Emilian capital! It is 3.5 kilometers long and it is the only one to measure this way!

2.Molino del Pallone

This little place is absolutely not to be missed. I spend my holidays there every summer. Molino del Pallone is a town that leaves Emilia Romagna behind to begin embracing Tuscany. What many foreigners do not know is that there is a pool of a spectacular river, clear, very cold and above all free! managed by volunteers and is equipped with shower, toilets, free parking and sunbeds, just leave a small donation for maintenance costs!

Over the years, despite the influx of tourists, vacationers and locals, the water has remained clean thanks to the continuous flow of the river.

3. Volterra

Being a real fan of Tuscany I certainly couldn't omit it from the article, don't you think? Today I would like to focus on Volterra, the one who made us dream during the second chapter of the "Twilight" saga. Volterra from one to ten is beautiful eleven but all the villages of Tuscany leave you speechless!

4. Alberobello

I have been to Alberobello a trillion times. I think it is one of the towns that the whole world envies us. It is known thanks to the Trulli, conical stone constructions. It looks like a real village out of a children's fairy tale and if you haven't been there yet you have to fix it first! Puglia is my favorite region of Italy and offers a lot in terms of landscape as well as home to orecchiette and panzerotti! Ok I'll stop. I'm a basket case

.

5. Amalfi coast

How wonderful Campania. The Amalfi Coast is one of those places that can leave an indelible mark on you.It is characterized by small beaches and steep cliffs. To visit it all you will need a lot of patience because it is full of tourists almost all year round! It is a 50-kilometer stretch of coastline and the villages that meet between one stretch and the other seem fake, such is their beauty.

6. Cave of poetry

The cave of poetry is one of the most beautiful natural attractions in southern Italy. It is located in Otranto (LE) and is a complex of caves which can be accessed by sea and by land. Very old writings have been found on the walls and those who know me know that if they give me a dream panorama combined with a bit of archeology, my spirit makes sparks! natural pool (if you dare). From land to water there are 4 meters!

7. Caves of Labante and Rochetta Mattei

Labante is a small town located in the province of Bologna and has some wonderful caves. Here I got photographed on the occasion of my wedding. Admission is free, there is a huge park where you can have a picnic and absolutely Instagrammable photos

I dubbed it "broken heart" because it imitates this shape!

If you visit it in winter then, it becomes truly magical because the water that comes out freezes and it almost seems to be in an enchanted place or in an episode of Game of Thrones (even if unfortunately that good-looking Jon Snow has never materialized!)

20 minutes away is the famous Rocchetta Mattei which was opened a few years ago, after having undergone a very long abandonment and a very long restoration. It is a very particular construction and the first thing that strikes you are its forms that seem a mix of Arab and Indian culture.

8.Matterhorn mountain

The Matterhorn (in Valle d "Aosta) is a mountain in the Alps which measures the beauty of 4478 meters of altitude. It is "one of the most scenic mountains I have ever seen. What strikes you most at first glance is the very pronounced pyramid-like shape. In short, if it is not an instagrammable place this would not know how to surprise you!

9.Cascata delle Marmore

Who said that to see breathtaking waterfalls you have to fly to the USA or Brazil? The Cascata delle Marmore becomes more famous every year thanks to its grandeur and position. It is located as if set in a luxuriantly green area. The view is surreal. This wonder is located in Umbria baby, save the name and please wait for your selfies!

10. Valley of the temples

I said it and I'll say it again, give me some archeology and I'll be the happiest travel blogger in the world! The wonderful and well-preserved Valley of the Temples is an archaeological complex located in Sicily and consists of Doric temples dating back to the Hellenic period. In one word: enchanting!
