The extraordinary transformations of Jan: here's how to play the role of the characters of American Horror Story
Tell us a little about yourself: how did you end up in the world of make-up?
Officially in 2013, while I was attending the school for beauticians. Initially I wanted to focus on the world of hair, but also having to learn the main notions of skincare, nails and make-up to get the license, I also approached makeup. I didn't expect to fall in love with it so much, perhaps because I hadn't realized how similar it was to painting and drawing, two other forms of art that I love.

Has the concept of transformation always fascinated you? What made you want to become the characters of American Horror Story?
Any kind of special effects makeup fascinates me. I love anything related to the horror world and, last Halloween, I decided to try to become one of the characters in my favorite TV series, American Horror Story. Many people appreciated the final result, liking the photos shared on Facebook and Instagram. From there I decided to try to transform myself into other characters.
You have a decidedly incredible talent: are you planning other transformations of this type?
Surely. I really like the transformation with make-up so I will undoubtedly post other "looks". maybe I'll even try to do something special with regards to hairstyles, but transformations are my main focus right now!
If you could make up a celebrity, who would you like to make up?
Any American Horror Story actor! But if I had to choose ... Jessica Lange, no doubt!
Would you ever have expected this feedback, first of all on the web, and then from the media?
Honestly? No. I was born and raised in the Philippines, in a rather poor family. I moved to the United States in 2002 to pursue the "American Dream" and now work in Denver, Colorado, at "Ergün Tercan European Salon. I never expected, one day, to answer questions from overseas and, above all, to be able to imagine a bright future for both me and my family.
