Prepare everything the night before!

Playing early can be very functional so that everything goes smoothly on the first day of school. This is why we recommend that you prepare everything you need the night before. Therefore, before getting under the covers, it is necessary that the backpack has already been closed and the outfit decided. In particular, as regards clothing, allow your children to choose what to wear for themselves. Unless the clothes are totally inappropriate for the school environment (in this case, dissuade them with calm and calm tones, for example by excessively praising another garment), leave the choice to them. This will make them feel more responsible and independent, in addition, wearing what they like and making them feel comfortable will certainly come in handy for relieving the stress of returning.

Talk to your little ones!

If the day before returning to school you notice a change in the mood of your children, finding them anxious, agitated, taciturn or irascible, rest assured: it's all pretty normal! After three months of total freedom, returning to school can be a trauma for many students. Do not ignore the signs of help that your little ones send you, but try to talk to them, letting them vent openly with you. Even just giving voice to their anxieties can help them feel better and, in this way, it will be easier for you to know their state of mind and find the right words with which to console and support them in this delicate moment.

All to bed early!

You know, a rested mind works better. This is why it is important that both parents and children enjoy a well-deserved rest of at least 8 hours every night and, in particular, the night before the first day of school. That evening, if possible, try to have dinner earlier than usual so that you have time to enjoy the last moments of your vacation, while still managing to go to bed early. This will help you to make waking up less traumatic and to face the back-to-school with the necessary clarity.

Enjoy a rich breakfast!

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is why it is important to take a moment (even just 10 minutes) to enjoy this moment calmly before launching into the frenzy of the activities that await us. You can even think about making your kids' favorite cake to sweeten their back to school. Also in this case, set the table and prepare the mocha before going to sleep, so that when you wake up everything will be ready. In addition, we advise you to get up half an hour before the children, so you can prepare yourself in complete calm and you will also find time to fix the kitchen before leaving the house.

At dinner, however, stay light!

If breakfast is to be rich and substantial, the same principle does not apply to dinner. To facilitate digestion and, consequently, sleep, it is necessary to avoid getting excessively heavy during this meal. Better to opt for nutritious but light foods. Furthermore, it is very likely that children will perceive some anxiety that evening, so this mood combined with a heavy and caloric food choice could have unfortunate consequences.

Presenting yourself in front of the gates 20/15 minutes before the bell rings will allow children to adapt calmly to the school environment, having some time to chat and report on summer holidays with their classmates . The meeting with friendly faces will also help them calm down and calm the back-to-school nervousness.

... And now, some well-deserved relaxation!

Often the first day of school turns out to be the most tiring of the entire academic year. The interruption of the holidays, the early wake up call and the hours sitting at the desk listening to the lesson after months of doing nothing can significantly prove the little students. To help them recover once they cross the school threshold, no homework or commitments, just a little well-deserved relaxation. That afternoon, let your children get away completely and dedicate themselves to what they like most: playing, drawing, watching cartoons and, why not, meeting some friends. The same goes for you parents: after putting the children to bed (preferably early), relax, carving out some time just for yourself!
