Why do a microblading treatment?

There are several reasons that can lead a person to approach this technique: to improve the shape of their eyebrows, to intervene in case of thinning or loss due to external factors, in order to return to having perfect eyebrows. In any case, a choice like this will yield us an interesting time saving!

How is microblading done?

Just like in the tattoo, the specialist proceeds by inserting some color pigments under the skin, but without going too deep. For this reason, eyebrow microblading disappears after a few years. The tool used during the procedure is a kind of micro blade that allows you to insert the pigments. Obviously, before proceeding with the final design, the beautician carries out some tests with a make-up ruler and shows the customer the different solutions until he finds the most interesting design for the face of the person undergoing microblading. The treatment does not hurt, is not invasive and is safe if carried out in competent facilities.

Cost of microblading and duration

A microblading treatment can last from 6 months to 2 years, sometimes even longer if you are not exposed to sunlight or unprotected lamps, chlorine or Turkish baths. The duration may also vary due to the morphology of the patient's skin and who applies it. The first 48 hours after treatment are of fundamental importance: a period in which you must not come into contact with water. The cost of a microblading treatment is around € 500, when performed by specialized personnel and with safe and state-of-the-art equipment. When the price falls below € 300 many times together with the price also dexterity and experience vary. But be careful: although it may seem a simple operation, it is not at all. In case of error or inexperience, long-lasting imperfections in shape or color can be created, as well as infections or scars. Is it really worth it?

How do you choose the pigment?

Among the most important things is choosing the perfect shape for your face and the color of the microblading. The professional will show you some pigments that adapt to your complexion. Take the right time to choose and don't be afraid to ask for more information about the product, such as its certification, any allergic reactions and its technical data sheet, in Italian.

Difference between microblading and tattooing

If you are wondering which technique to rely on, here is a list of differences between the two approaches that can (hopefully!) Guide you in your choice:

  • The eyebrow tattoo is permanent.
  • Despite this, the tattoo needs some periodic touch-ups.
  • In the tattoo, the pigments are placed on the client's skin through a sterilized tool, and although they may fade over time, they never completely erase.
  • Microblading is semi permanent.
  • In microblading, the pigments are inserted more superficially, which is why the design tends to fade after a few months and is completely erased after a few years.
  • In both cases, the shape, color and intensity must be chosen based on the characteristics of your face.
  • The tool used in dermopigmentation is lighter and more practical, but also less powerful than that used for a body tattoo. Furthermore, the needles used are different: microblading requires a much finer stretch, just think that when we refer to this technique we talk about the "hair effect".

The main difference is therefore in the duration of the treatment: the main advantage of microblading is that it can be modified periodically. For those who are not interested in changing the shape of their eyebrows, perhaps to follow the trends of the moment, the most suitable solution could be a permanent make-up.

Other applications

Microblading is not just synonymous with perfect brows! In fact, it can also be used for semi-permanent make-up of lips and eyes. They are advanced and delicate techniques, which in Italy are still little seen, but the result of a good job is truly natural and effective.

Why rely on a microblading specialist

We will never tire of repeating it: if you are thinking of a semi or permanent make-up it is always a good idea to rely on expert hands. Turning to semi-permanent makeup professionals with many hours of training behind them is important because it is not a simple drawing: in addition to knowing how to do an excellent microblading job, in fact, the specialist will have to know how to use a dermograph, because this technique is not suitable for all types of skins.
