Winter fashion: the parka is back

The parka has a long history, full of small revolutions and repetitions. The continuous courses and recourses of fashion trends, then, see him return for this autumn and winter protagonist of the streets, in a thousand variations of material and color.
The parka is in fact one of the most loved and characteristic outerwear, a karst presence of fashion, borrowed from other worlds, just like the duffle coat or the trench coat.
For autumn winter 2013 2014, several brands, such as Mango, OVS and Benetton, offer a great variety of this garment, which will be difficult to resist (you can find out for yourself from the photos below).

© Asos Borrowed from the Inuit populations of the Arctic, the parka has since maintained its characteristics of excellent insulation against the cold, not surprisingly it was adopted by the American army during the Second World War (the British Royal Navy wore instead the duffle coat), and then by American workers. As always, the passage of the parka from a work garment to a style icon is due to a subculture: the so-called Mod (Modernist) of London adopted it as a uniform of recognition, while today it is on the shoulders of anyone who loves it. Curiously, the parka also seems to be the favorite outerwear for models when they have to go from one show to another during the winter.
