If you are worried that the microwaves could escape from the appliance, rest assured: the oven always has a protective casing and a metal mesh that almost completely limits a possible leakage. You should only start to worry if the oven door is badly dented, only then (or in case of tampering) there could be leaks.

Microwaves don't interfere with wireless network signals, pacemakers or other electronic devices, so you don't even have to worry about that.

The only cause for concern could be the danger of burns: always be careful when removing food from the oven, especially if heated inside containers that could reach very high temperatures compared to the food itself.

Can cooking with the microwave alter food?
