The Fricker Diet


The principle

Dr. Fricker devised a two-speed diet. In "high speed" mode, it allows you to lose weight quickly by eating meat, fish, vegetables (seasoned with few fats), dairy products and fruit. Bread, starchy foods and sugary foods are prohibited. This high-speed diet is therefore based on foods rich in protein and low in calories. The second speed, more moderate, allows you to lose weight less quickly but with longer lasting results. It can continue for several months and can help stabilize your weight after a "pendulum" phase. It is therefore an ideal long-term diet that allows, thanks to starchy foods, to feel full and fit. If you prefer to lose weight slowly but permanently, this is the diet for you. Like the "high speed" diet, it is based on animal proteins (meat, fish, eggs, dairy products), fiber, vitamins and minerals (fruit and vegetables) and essential fatty acids (oil).

A typical day at high speed
Breakfast: tea or coffee, 2-4 dairy products, fruit (not squeezed).
Lunch and dinner: raw vegetables or vegetable soup (without fats), meat and fish at will, vegetables at will, all accompanied by a tablespoon of oil, 1 dairy product, 1 fruit.
A typical day at a moody speed
Breakfast: tea or coffee, rusks or whole grains according to appetite, 1 dairy product, 1 fruit (not pressed).
Prenzo: raw vegetables or vegetable soup without fat, fish or meat at will, vegetables at will, a tablespoon of oil, 1 dairy product, 1 fruit.
Dinner: raw vegetables or vegetable soup without fat, lean meat or fish at will, starchy foods at will and vegetables in quantities equal to or greater than those of starchy foods, a tablespoon of oil, 1 dairy product, 1 fruit.

Results
Women generally lose 1-1.5 kg per week, men 1.5-2.5 kg. You can follow the moderate diet for as long as you want, interspersed with "high speed" periods.

The pros
This diet allows you to lose weight without affecting muscle mass.
It is made up of "real" meals, which allows you to have lunch with your loved ones.
Its balance and durability do not endanger your health in the long term.
Some exceptions to the rule are "allowed": for example, a glass of champagne.
This gentle method gets used to a good dietary balance and prepares dieters for the stabilization phase.

The cons
The "pendolino" diet does not allow you to adopt good eating habits. Beware of the risk of regaining the lost kilos.
The moderate diet is less rapid than the restrictive ones, requires more patience and can last up to 6 months.
