Posing like a model: the irony in the photos of the stylist Nathalie Croquet

By now it is well known: the models, actresses and testimonials, who look so perfect on billboards, are actually edited to perfection in Photoshop. This video shows us the magic that the editing program can do.

But there are those who have decided to oppose it, even just as a joke. Her name is Nathalie Croquet and she literally put her face on it.
Through her project Spoof (parody), the French stylist and fashion editor has ironically replicated some glamorous shots and poses, which often turn out to be excessively extravagant.
The result makes us smile, even if the intent of the designer and photographer Daniel Schweizer was not to desecrate the fashion campaigns, which, after all, are their sector.

"The" idea, "explains Croquet," came to me when I realized that to explain to my team what I had in mind for photo shoots, I was always recreating self-portraits. Paradoxically this could be interpreted as mockery or sarcasm, instead it is a tribute. It's not meant to be either plagiarism or critical speech, but it's a fun thing I created during a playful break from my work. Something funny that was then interpreted with a depth that we did not expect. In addition to laughter, there is always reflection ".
