Florence: an exhibition on hats
Christian Dior, Givenchy, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, John Rocha, Prada, Gianfranco Ferré: these are just some of the maison protagonists of The hat between art and extravagance, the exhibition currently underway at the Costume Gallery of Palazzo Pitti. This is the first monographic exhibition dedicated to the hat, made possible by the rich heritage of the museum, accumulated thanks to various donors.

<p>"It is the changing and subjective hat, the work of art hat, the hat object of design of the twentieth century and the third millennium, the one to which the attention of this exhibition is addressed", declared Cristina Acidini, Superintendent for the Polo Museale Fiorentino .<br><br>The exhibition, which will remain open until May 18, 2014, reserves many surprises: in addition to exclusive collections of important fashion houses, such as those mentioned above, there are also models made by hat designers of the caliber of Caroline Reboux, Paulette, Stephen Jones, Claude Saint-Cyr and Philip Treacy, as well as exclusive sketches.</p></p><ins class="adsbygoogle"
