But first of all it is good to make a distinction. When we talk about hair removal we mean methods that cut the hair at the base, therefore razors, creams and electric depilators. When we talk about hair removal, we are referring to methods that eradicate the hair at the root, making the bulb also come out, such as waxing, to understand.

1. The razor is evil!

If, as mentioned, Cleopatra already used waxing, for the birth of the first unisex razors we have to wait until the early 60s, when the miniskirts gave way to the unstoppable development of hair removal, especially of the legs and when Mr. Gillette began to invent the first women's razors.

With them the first legends immediately began to flourish: with the razor the hairs grow harder, they grow earlier, they grow thicker ... NO, NO and again NO.

In recent years, razors have made great strides, improving themselves more and more, taking on increasingly ergonomic shapes, with safe blades from every point of view.
The hair, using the razor, does NOT grow back harder, thicker and darker.
It seems to be so because when we cut the hair we eliminate the thinner and more worn upper part, leaving the lower part, with the larger diameter, visible.

And it is also not true that using the razor the hair grows back thicker. Just like hair, hair has its own growth cycle, even if we are less aware of it. Therefore a cut cannot influence a faster growth.

2. Hair removal takes away the tan

False. On the contrary, by using razors, depilatory creams or electric depilatories, they renew it, since they eliminate a layer of dead cells from the surface of the skin, stimulating cell turnover and, therefore, a brighter and more lasting tan.

3. Shaving every day hurts

False. If you have thick hair that grows back quickly you will probably feel more comfortable by shaving every day. Furthermore, shaving with a razor, even in the private parts, gives a softer appearance to the skin due to the exfoliating action of the upper layer of dead cells.

4. After shaving it is easier for the hair to become ingrown

False. If the hairs grow ingrown it means that a good scrub has not been done before. The skin scrub is essential to remove dead cells and the upper layers of the epidermis.
Without this fundamental step, it can actually happen that the hairs grow under the skin.

5. It's okay to shave just before going out in the sun

If you shave with cream or a razor, your skin is still red and more sensitive, so the best thing to do is not to expose yourself to the sun immediately.

For the same reason the same thing should not be done the other way around, that is, after the sun, shave off. Better to wait in both cases at least 4-5 hours.

And if you have particularly sensitive skin, you will need to be even more careful and not just for hair removal. Discover in this video the precious advice of the dermatologist.

Finally, let's reinforce a concept, which often goes unnoticed: for a good hair removal it is essential to first exfoliate the skin. In this gallery excellent products that will help you in your business! Don't forget this step for silky smooth skin
