The pride of being imperfect. Look at these pictures of naked and happy women, against the stereotypes of society

It's called Expose, and it's a photographic project on display in Tucson, Arizona, the work of photographer Liora K and blogger and activist Jes Baker. The goal of the two is to show how they are, and not how they are transformed, the bodies of "real" women. The photographs show the bodies of normal women, which do not correspond to the beauty standards of fashion magazines. and advertising, and above all that are not digitally retouched, as happens to the models themselves.

© Liora K. Photography "We want to show that these women are important, that their bodies deserve to be looked at, and that what are referred to as flaws are simply ways of being," commented the two artists. "Bodies are shown with respect and love," they add.

Jes Baker, co-author of the work, added: "The image of women disclosed by the media does not match us, no one resembles those photos retouched with Photoshop. Yet we tend to believe that we are the only unfortunate ones to have irregular breasts, or too big ankles, or unwanted hair. It is not like that. "Expose, in short, shows how difficult it is to believe and feel beautiful when one perceives oneself not as a whole body, healthy and serene, but as a set of different defects.
