How many times have we happened to be away from home, traveling, abroad and mostly alone, and have sudden pains without the possibility of seeking the care of our doctor or family members? We are talking about the different forms of acute pain, such as that which accompanies renal colic, or that affects bones and muscles, as well as post-minor orthopedic or dental surgery operations.
Overcoming acute pain has now become simpler and even safer, thanks to a new subcutaneous formulation of diclofenac (the "famous" active ingredient of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - NSAIDs), available in small pre-filled syringes and also in different dosages . We are talking about a medicine that our treating doctor can prescribe and that presents an easy form of self-administration, practical and manageable independently.
Small pre-filled syringes, and at different dosages that overcome the problem of the "classic" intramuscular injections, where it was necessary to turn to someone able to do them. Not only that, thanks to the small size of the needle, similar to that used in vaccination for children, less pain and greater safety are also guaranteed. Not to mention the risk of tissue and nerve damage that intramuscular punctures often involve.
