The pineapple diet: menus, strengths and weaknesses of the 4-day detox diet

Pineapple purifying diet: what are the foods to avoid and those allowed?

If you decide to adopt this diet for the recommended 4 days, you must avoid eating cured meats and cheeses and complex carbohydrates such as bread and pasta. Absolutely banned energy and alcoholic drinks. You need to eat fresh, ripe pineapple and keep it upside down in the fridge to allow the sugars to dissolve throughout the fruit. Once cut, it is good to eat it immediately to keep intact the properties of vitamin C which is essential for the formation of collagen which improves skin elasticity. It is important to drink draining herbal teas (2 cups a day) and at least 2 liters of water. The oil to season the vegetable dishes provided is allowed: a maximum of 2 soup spoons per day.

Example of a 4-day detox menu

This is how the pineapple detox diet is organized.

First day
Breakfast: 1 glass of pineapple juice without sugar, a fruit of your choice and a cup of tea
Mid-morning snack: 1 glass of sugar-free pineapple juice
Lunch: 2 slices of fresh pineapple, a slice of bread, 50 g of cow's milk ricotta
Snack: 1 glass of sugar-free pineapple juice + 1 apple
Dinner: 2 slices of fresh pineapple, 50 g of boiled rice seasoned with 1 teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, 1 herbal tea of lemon balm, orange and lime sweetened with 1 teaspoon of honey

Second day
Breakfast: 1 glass of sugar-free pineapple juice, a slice of bread, 2 teaspoons of jam, 125 g of yogurt,
Mid-morning snack: 1 fruit of your choice
Lunch: 1 slice of fresh pineapple, 125 g of low-fat yogurt, 50 g of boiled rice, 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil
Snack: 1 glass of sugar-free pineapple juice and an apple
Dinner: vegetable soup mixed, 40 g of barley pearled, 2 teaspoons of extra virgin olive oil, 2 slices of fresh pineapple

The third and fourth days are a simple repetition of the first and second meals. This type of regime, in fact, is designed for a very short period and for a "targeted action.

Contraindications and undesirable effects

All diets and diets must be adopted responsibly. There are no particular contraindications regarding the pineapple diet. However, it is advisable not to take it if you are taking anticoagulant medications.
For pregnant women, however, it is advisable to consult with the doctor before starting the diet because the consumption of pineapple could create complications for the uterus due to the bromelain present in the fruit.
