The kitchen? The most dangerous place

It is true, however, that, like the bathroom, the kitchen hides many pitfalls, including utensils, tools and appliances. But what are, according to the Italians, the foods that we often buy and which can become dangerous in some way?

Thanks to a "survey by JustEat.it, the leading take-away site, fruit and vegetables are among the first foods identified as a source of danger: 36% put Indian figs first, but they also appear in the ranking coconut, watermelons and pineapple.

In second place the oysters with 26.5%, undoubtedly dictated by the difficult operation of opening each single shell, and the consequent risk of getting injured in the process. Even the artichokes, pointed and "threatening" appear in the top 10, reaching 10%.

As for the actions performed in the kitchen, in the first place of the male ranking we find the fear of cutting oneself with a knife (57%), while in the female ranking the gold medal wins the fear of being burned with pots, pans, ovens and stove.

Considering the kitchen one of the most dangerous places in the home is not entirely wrong: recent Ispel surveys have in fact confirmed that 52% of domestic accidents happen right between stoves and cutting boards.

Could these also be some of the reasons why more and more people are opting for take-away, dinners out or simply ready meals?
