HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT TRIO

The essential equipment for a baby includes, among other things, the wheelchair (or spacecraft in the Trio), which will host the baby in the first months of life, the stroller, which will welcome him much longer and the car seat, essential (as well as mandatory) to travel with mom and dad in maximum safety. Three different products that, with great practicality, the trio modular system allows you to hook onto a single frame (to be clear the part with the wheels), alternating them easily according to the needs of the moment. The Trio comfortably accompanies the child during the initial stages of growth: the important thing is to evaluate in advance which trio to choose, taking care to pay attention to some key features such as size, practicality, safety and comfort.

The advantage of choosing the trio stroller

There are several evaluations that make the trio modular system preferable to buying each single component independently of each other. First of all it is a good choice because you take home three pieces at once. Then there are the comfort and space factor, since all three pieces are attached to a single frame (occupying much less surface area than a stroller and a pram together). The Trio accompanies the child in all its stages of growth up to three years age:

the carrycot is essential in the very first months of a child's life, it lasts up to about 5/6 months (up to a maximum weight of 10 kg) and with the kit car it can be used for the first trips by car;
the car seat, also called an egg, is approved up to 13 kg (up to 10/12 months at the most);
the stroller is the element with the longest life because it can reach up to three years of age!

How to choose the trio: size, practicality, safety and comfort

When considering how to choose the trio right some very important aspects must be taken into account, starting with size: the stroller, in fact, when open, must be able to safely cross the front door, enter the elevator and must be agile and easy to carry, when closed it must be able to enter the trunk of your car. Make sure, therefore, at the time of purchase, that the modular system measures are compatible with your spaces and it is important to always do a "driving" test. Among the characteristics of the best Trio possible, the locking system should not be overlooked. which must be practical (even better if operated with one hand) and which must allow the stroller to remain standing when closed, and the wheels, which must be solid but, at the same time, agile to move on any type of terrain As for the safety, the car seat must be homologated according to the current European legislation (we talked about it in detail here). And then, as anticipated, the comfort: the child, both in the pram mode and in the others, must always guarantee maximum comfort. Pay attention, therefore, to some fundamental peculiarities such as the breathability of the materials, the padding and softness of the internal coverings or the reclining of the backrest (important to make the child rest comfortably) and the reversibility of the seat for the stroller.

In the Trio Chicco Style Go Up we find all these elements and also something more. It is very agile and easy to handle thanks to its width of only 50 cm, it has ball bearings and shock absorbers on all four wheels of the frame and a handle with a single handle, with the advantage of being able to push it even with one hand. This legislation was created precisely to improve safety in the car by requiring the use of the Isofix system, which reduces the risk of incorrect installation and also subjecting the seat to side impact tests.

Trio, which one to choose: focus on safety in the car

In the previous paragraph we talked about size, practicality, safety and comfort as the main criteria to follow at the time of choose the trio, listing them in a generic way. Now, however, we would like to focus more on the theme of safety in the car. There spacecraft it is useful for the very first car trips: for this reason it is important that the three-point seat belts and the car kit are included among the accessories or options of the Trio to insure the newborn. The Style Go Up carrycot is equipped as standard with a removable 3-point harness kit with padded shoulder straps and shoulder straps included, to ensure maximum comfort at all times. Different speech for the car seat of the trio: which one to choose? As already explained several times, it must be compulsorily homologated according to the regulations in force: so far the seat compatible with the Trio was ECE R44 / 04 homologated, with the Trio Style Go Up it is also possible to choose a seat homologated with the most recent ECE R129 (i-Size), also compatible with the frame of the Trio. The Oasys i-Size car seat can be installed in a simple and safe way thanks to the Isofix base (which fixes the seat directly to the car body) and provides internal padding to further protect the child in the event of a side impact. Unlike the seat approved with the ECE R44 / 04 standard, the i-Size approved seat is not based on the weight of the child but on its height, Oasys i-Size is approved, in fact, for children from 40 to 78 cm in height (from 0 to about 15 months).

Trio stroller: the essential accessories (or almost)

We have explained more or less everything about the modular system: how to choose the right Trio, what are the advantages of the Trio and the safety measures it must take. The only thing missing is the non-negligible theme of accessories that a Trio should have: there are so many, some very useful and others not so much. In some cases they are already included at the time of purchase, but there is no shortage of optional ones ... which is why when choosing a Trio you must always check how many and which accessories are standard (and therefore included in the price).
We have already talked about the car kit for the carrycot, essential for the first trips by car, but also the base of the car seat (necessary for installation in the car), the padded leg cover for the stroller, essential in the winter months, and "very useful rain cover because it protects from bad weather and wind. For the warm months, on the other hand, it is important to check that the hood of the stroller has a mesh opening to facilitate the passage of air, even better if it is equipped with an extension to protect more the baby from the sun. Practical and functional accessories of the Trio are, on the other hand, the storage basket and the bag (with the travel changing mat inside).
