Charismatic is a person who has charisma. But what exactly is the charisma?
With this term, charisma, we mean that character, social and aesthetic something that makes an individual a leader. For the first time the word charisma is used in a religious context, in fact the etymology of this word is linked to the letters of the apostle Paul in the New Testament. It is as if inside an individual chosen, the signs of divine grace are manifested, and in the face of these signs the entire community does not remain indifferent but shows itself obedient and fascinated: in short, the community accepts the leadership of the charismatic individual. There are many religious leaders that history remembers and who thanks to their charisma and undeniable communication skills have managed to become legendary through gestures that have gone down in history. Others, however, did not stand out for their commitment and the will to do good. Those who possess these qualities of being able to catalyze minds are not always a saint. Think of the religious leader who led the Jonestown massacre in Guyana on November 18, 1978, for example by ordering the largest mass suicide ever thanks to his communication skills. And all his devotees naturally obeyed his words by welcoming his directions and drinking a lethal cyanide cocktail for this. We're talking about preacher Jim Jones in the Peoples Temple community who said he was chosen by God to do all of this. Jim Jones was a very charismatic figure: charming, sexually attractive, full of ideas and very skilled as a speaker. He completely controlled every gesture and every thought of his group. Charismatic people are those in whom others have great confidence. A charismatic individual does not need to speak for a long time, he manages to convince those in front of him even in silence. You recognize him at first glance, from what he wears, from the non-verbal language of his body, from how he smiles. Charisma is an inner gift that cannot fail to manifest itself externally. A characteristic of charismatic people is to be excellent speakers, they are able to hold the bench in even complex discussions and argue their ideas with conviction and simplicity, often managing to convince those who initially do not agree. But a charismatic person does not only know how to speak, he also knows how to listen well, and for this reason he becomes indispensable for the rest of the community. The charismatic always has an objective and complete vision of the situation and he wants to show it to others.Moreover, those who have this "divine gift" understand well the value of time, of their own time, of course, but also of that of others for which they do not like to talk about but tend to go straight to the point.

Charismatic leaders beyond religion
The charismatic leaders that history remembers do not belong only to the religious world but above all to the political one where the gift of communication takes on a priority character and often knows how to change the course of history. It was Max Weber who first spoke of charisma even for political leaders and personalities far from Christianity or other religions. For the German sociologist, charisma is a quality of the individual personality that makes its possessor appear as an extraordinary person, with supernatural powers, a person in short, a far cry from the concept of the common man. Often in the political world, those with charisma are a bit undiscovered as a man of destiny, capable of leading to salvation and averting moments of crisis.
