Arisa: "My prince charming? He doesn't have a white horse but a great sense of humor!"

Singer, actress, voice actress and TV presenter, in short, in a few years Arisa, born in 1982, has experimented with various roles in the entertainment world, always obtaining great acclaim and satisfaction. Funny, talented and genuine, the interpreter, born artistically on the Sanremo stage in 2009, has always stood out for an original and out of line personality, a talent that has allowed her to break through the hearts of Italians, and more recently, to conducting the Sanremo Festival together with Emma, alongside Carlo Conti, his last great professional revenge. And here, only a month after the end of the Sanremo experience, Arisa is once again on the crest of the wave with a new project; in fact, the singer was chosen to interpret the song Free, present in the soundtrack of the cartoon Cinderella, out in Italian cinemas starting today, 12 March. We met her and we were told about the little girl she was, about the dreams still to be realized and even about her prince charming. Listen to what she confides in us ...

I imagine that you too, like most of the women who grew up in the 80s, are rather tied to the Disney cartoon princesses. Is that so? What were your favorites?

Sure. I have always been fascinated by the fairy tales of Disney princesses, in particular those that tell a story of revenge: when from a situation of discomfort and humility, one is rewarded and finally savors victory, leaving behind hardships and difficulties. There is a beautiful song by Cristina Donà that makes this concept poetic: "If you've tried nettles, you recognize the silk." And undoubtedly this is the aspect that I love most of the Disney princesses' fairy tales, even if I admit that I have always had a preference for Snow White.

Which of the many Disney Princesses would you identify with? And why?
I think with Cenrentola, but I have to say that lately there is "another" Disney character that I feel closer to me: Mary Poppins, for her kindness and her need to communicate positive values. I feel very empowered at this stage of my life: with my music, my work, I feel the need to transmit positive messages to young people, a bit like the magical babysitter did with the two children she looked after, and in all that I do, to try to achieve this goal, I imagine that my son is listening to me.

What kind of girl were you? Dreamer, princess, tomboy?
I was a dreamer child, very good and loyal, but already at the time I showed a bit of my being free and outside the box, an aspect that I still retain today, despite the passage of time.I'll tell you an episode of when I was little to make the goddess: "One day I saw a cage of chicks in the courtyard and" I opened it because I wanted to free them all, and there were more than 100! ", Obviously the thing then degenerated and me they are heard by my mother, who chased me all over the hill behind the house.

How much time is there for that little girl? Have you kept a more naive and "childish" side over the years or do you feel like a mature woman in all respects?
I feel like a mature woman in all respects when I am with others, but in the moments when I am alone I realize that I am still a bit of a child, I like to be surprised, amazed, but I try to hold back when I am among people, although sometimes I can't completely block that naïve side of me.

And speaking of love, a theme dear to you, are you more of a woman who lives stories as if they were romantic fairy tales or are you more pragmatic and realistic?
I am definitely a realistic woman in love; The fundamental aspect for me, rather than receiving various sweetness and romance, is knowing how to laugh together and not getting bored; I think this is the key to dreaming in a life as a couple: for me, romance lies precisely in fun, in the complicity of looks and smiles My prince charming doesn't have a white horse but a great sense of humor.

You have had a lot of satisfaction over the years, what would you like to achieve now? What do you dream about?
I dream of being able to continue to communicate with the world, and I hope to be able to do so thanks to my music, the way that I have always done best and that suits me best. This is what matters most to me and allows me to be happy and feel fulfilled.
