Angelina Jolie to direct "Unbroken"

Angelina Jolie goes back behind the camera. In fact, she will direct “Unbroken”, a film produced by Universal Pictures and based on the novel of the same name by Laura Hillenbrand. At the center is the story of Louie Zamperini, a brave war hero and former Olympic athlete who finds himself traveling in a bomber that is suddenly hit. The only survivor, Louie will find himself completely alone in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on a small emergency boat. And it will last a good fifty days.

It is not yet known who the role will go to, but it is certain that filming will begin in the coming months in Australia, where Jolie has already flown for a first inspection.

Recall that this is the second film as director for the actress, who in 2011 made “In the Land of Blood and Honey” (unfortunately never released in Italy).
