Teens and online sex

In fact, 25% of boys between the ages of 14 and 16 would spend too much time connected to porn sites that are forbidden to minors under the age of 18, with the risk of developing sexual dysfunctions, such as premature ejaculation and decreased desire, as well as psychological dependence.

The research shows that since 2005 the number of regular porn sites has almost doubled: from 5 to 8 million in Italy. Of these, 10% are minors.

Federico Tonioni, director of the Center for web psychopathologies of the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome, author of the manual "Mediated web psychopathology, internet addiction and new dissociative phenomena" (Springer), commented as follows: "80% of our patients were children aged 12 to 25, users of chat, social networks and role-playing games. In young people, the mediated web relationship can lead to a dissociation of the mind-body relationship. In practice, the training phase is missing in cybersex: sex via the web protects you from emotions, sensations but also from the problems of the real one. We undress and text by sending hard images for refills, but then live we are embarrassed because they are not real experiences. Here the danger is that of a block, an extreme shyness with others in flesh and blood, which then leads to a new liberating escape on the web ”.
