Achille Lauro in Sanremo: the genius behind the onesie

If last year with his "Rolls Royce" he made us understand that we would talk about it again, with last night's performance in front of the solemn public of Sanremo, Achille Lauro confirmed what the most far-sighted had already suspected for a year: he is a genius.
Creativity is something that must be shown with all possible pride and this, Achille Lauro, understood it very well. Yet he took a risk despite knowing that he was facing a certain amount of body shaming and controversy. Treatment that, usually, is reserved for women:

During the first evening of the festival he performed with his "Me ne frego". In spite of all the rumors that associated him with the slogan tune of the Fascist period, Achille denied by launching a message completely dissociated from everything that is political, embracing "beauty" in all its facets.
I don't care, I'm an artist, I make music, I make noise, I make a show and yes, I flirt with a man on the stage of Sanremo.
And it took! After years of all gray and set men artists, even among the very young (see Il Volo), Italy has forgotten that it is the cradle of characters like Renato Zero (who we certainly do not remember for the sobriety of his outfits).

As he explains immediately on his Instagram account, Achille Lauro in the choice of stage costume, took a cue from Giotto and cites Saint Francis of Assisi when he strips himself of his material goods to embrace a life made of frugality and prayer.
The black cape inlaid with gold and the infamous glitter-covered nude onesie, on the other hand, were designed by Alessandro Michele, creative director of Gucci. The suit also recalls those worn by body builders but Achille flaunts it with extreme ease showing proud and winking his body as it is.

References to Bowie, Zero, Mercury and the film "Velvet Goldmine" inspired by Oscar Wilde and David Bowie are wasted in a glamorous and sexually turbid atmosphere.

In short, in addition to a beautiful song, Achille Lauro managed to bring a wave of culture to three hundred and sixty degrees on that stage by now plastered and formal.
10 and praise.
