Kenny, Kelsey, Natalie, Brandon, Alexis, Nathan and Joel survived. And on November 19 they turned 19.
In the Daily Mail, Bobbi recalls how everyone had suggested that she undergo reductive selection treatments, to reduce the risks of a difficult birth and an even more complicated survival.

The trust responded with 42 bottles of water drunk and 52 diapers changed every day. The McCaughey family went through difficult times, but many moved to help them. Oprah dedicated an entire episode to the miraculous family and numerous associations have activated a network of donations to allow the McCaugheys a simpler life, as far as possible. Among the donations, Bobbi, Kenny and the 7 twins received a home, a free year of Kraft products, diapers for two years, and 7 scholarships to any university in the state of Iowa they are from.
It wasn't all roses, flowers, and free Mac & Cheese packs, though. Alexis and Nathan were born with cerebral palsy and had to undergo more than one "operation. But today, the two say they are grateful for their situation:" We were never alone, there was always someone holding our hand. It's a wonderful feeling. "
